Following on from installing energy efficient LED lighting throughout the warehouse and offices, we have also recently installed an electric vehicle charging point and just completed our solar panel installation.
Energy prices have seen rapid increases recently after more gradual rises and this is expected to continue as fossil fuels become harder to source. As a manufacturing business, we use a lot of electricity and so the benefit of generating our own through solar panels is an obvious one. Being less reliant on the National Grid for all of our electricity allows us to mitigate our energy costs and significantly reduce our carbon footprint. Using electricity that has been generated by burning fossil fuels means that carbon emissions are released into the planet’s atmosphere, by reducing our reliance on the National Grid in favour of renewable energy, we are delighted that we are helping in the fight against global warming.
